This Weedblock fabric substrate barrier screen provides a superior barrier to keep the false bottom and substrate layers separate allowing the substrate to stay drier improving growing conditions in the vivarium as well as extending the life of the substrate. The fabric features micro funnels that allow the free flow of air, water and nutrients to pass though while blocking small particles of soil from falling through like it can when using fiberglass screen. Holes can be cut into the material to allow plants roots to access to the false bottom area if needed.
