Keep your feeder insects hydrated with this insect watering gel. These polymer water crystals are a superior water source as insects can't drown in them and they don't create a mess like liquid water can. Feeder insects that require a water source should always have access to insect watering gel. Replace as necessary.
Do not allow frogs or reptiles to ingest the polymer crystals as they will expand rapidly leading to traumatic digestive problems and possibly death.

Black eyed peas, or cowpeas are a bean that is popular in the Southern US, Africa, and Asia. They tolerate heat, drought and humidity much better than common beans do which make them the ideal environment for Bean Beetles. Adults do not require any food or water, they only require cowpeas on which to lay their eggs. They live for 10-14 days and each female will lay a single egg on each bean. The larvae will burrow into the bean where they will feed, pupate, and eventually emerge as adult beetles.

Confused rice flour beetles feed on the same media that they live in. This is a classic rice flour beetle recipe that is proven to continuously produce a large amount of larvae. Being high in protein and fat, the rice flour beetle larvae help contribute to a well rounded diet. Adult beetles can live anywhere from 5-12+ months, and the females lay 100-600 eggs with the greatest production occurring within the first two weeks of adulthood. This 32 oz media will last for months, especially if only supplementing an already existing culture.

Springtails are tiny arthropods that readily feed on mold and fungus in high humidity environments. They're only 1-4 mm long and make a great supplemental food for newly morphed or small poison dart frog species. When maintaining a springtail culture outside of a vivarium the springtails will need to be provided with the neceassary ingredients to feast on. To feed, first spray the culture thoroughly and then sprinkle the springtail food on top of the wet substrate. This mix will eventually mold-over providing the springtails with food to facilitate large population booms within the culture. Feed as often as necessary. If food is still visible from the last feeding its not time to feed yet. This 16 oz portion will likely last a lifetime.
